Talarius, the UK’s largest operator of Adult Gaming Centres, is pleased to announce that it has signed a deal with Playnation to roll out its industry leading HD gaming cabinet, ‘Storm’, across a number of its venues. The deal will serve to grow Talarius’ server based estate and connect new machines to increase its ticket-in-ticket-out offering, as well as providing a varied array of new content.
The roll out follows a highly successful trial of this new server based technology, which demonstrated the benefits it can offer in terms of customer service and operational efficiency. With unlimited games available on each machine, it supplies an open platform that can deliver both old favourites and new content. This will enable venues to provide customers with far greater choice compared to the maximum of nine games currently offered. Other benefits include the option of regular monthly content releases and promotional mechanics.
The deal, worth over £1m, forms part of Talarius’ wider growth strategy to increase its market share by ensuring Quicksilver, Silvers and Winners venues across the country are welcoming more customers through their doors.
Andy Whitworth, Talarius’ Head of Gaming Strategy, commented: “Our initial trial of this new technology proved it to be fantastic from a performance point of view, with a huge number of great benefits. We expect this deal, which is transformational to our business, to be the first of many.”
Ryan Collinge, Sales Director of Playnation, was delighted with the order, commenting: “We are really excited about our partnership with Talarius and the prospect of rolling out Storm, one of our most advanced gaming terminals, to so many of its top venues. Our aim is to inevitably increase Storms market share, as well as revenue for the sites, and it’s another big step for Playnation and our focus on providing a strong retail offering for all of our customers.”
Peter Harvey, Chief Executive of Talarius, said: “This deal will play a key role in the continued growth of Talarius and help us to build on a sustained period of excellent progress for the company. Ensuring the customers enjoy our facilities by providing them with the greatest choice of machines and games possible is our number one priority, and Playnation are aiding this with their excellent work ethic and technology.”
